[54] COOLING TANK FOR WATER
[57] Abstract: The cooling tank for water combines evaporative cooling with thermoelectric cooling to cool water stored in a belowground water tank or the like. The cooling tank for water includes a receptacle having an upper portion and a lower portion, where the lower portion receives a volume of water to be stored and cooled. An air pump, air tube and bubble-generating nozzle deliver bubbles into the volume of water. A plurality of thermally conductive fins are mounted in the upper portion of the receptacle. A thermoelectric cooler is also mounted in the upper portion of the receptacle. The cooling side of the cooler is in thermal communication with the plurality of thermally conductive fins. A cooling fan is mounted in the upper portion of the receptacle, adjacent the thermally conductive fins. An exhaust fan is mounted in the upper portion of the receptacle above the heating side of the thermometric cooler.
