[54] METHOD OF MANUFACTURING COMPOSITE PELLETS FOR EXTRUSION AND COMPOSITE PELLETS FOR EXTRUSION MANUFACTURED BY THE SAME METHOD
[57] Abstract: Composite pellets for extrusion that do not adhere to one another or vary in shape, size, density, and so forth are provided. Molten materials obtained by melt-kneading raw materials containing thermoplastic resin and wood meal with an extruder 42 are extruded into a strand shape through nozzle holes 43a provided in a die nozzle 43 mounted at the front end of the above-described extruder 42, and the strands of the above-described molten materials are cut at intervals of a predetermined length to form pellets. At this time, the extrusion rate Q of the extruder 42, the diameter D of each nozzle hole 43a, and the number n of nozzle holes 43a are adjusted so that a linear velocity ?d, representing the flow velocity of the molten materials in the nozzle holes 43a provided in the die nozzle 43, falls within a range of 12 to 50 cm/sec. In addition, composite pellets for extrusion containing thermoplastic resin and wood meal as main raw materials are supplied to the extruder by a stable amount, regardless of changes in grain size etc., and smoothly introduced into the screw of the extruder. The composite pellets for extrusion containing thermoplastic resin and wood meal as main ingredients are stirred, for example, together with metal salt of 12-hydroxystearic acid containing a metal of calcium (Ca), magnesium (Mg), or zinc (Zn) to deposit the metal salt of 12-hydroxystearic acid on outer circumferences of the above-described composite pellets at a ratio of metal salt of 12-hydroxystearic acid to pallet of 0.03-0.4 mass%, preferably 0.05-0.3 mass%, to 100 mass%. The pellets processed in this manner are used for extrusion with an extrusion apparatus.
