[57] Abstract: The seawater electrolysis device is provided with an electrode (30) which includes an anode (A) which is made of titanium coated with an iridium oxide-containing coating material and a cathode (C), an electrolysis vessel main body (20) which houses the anode (A) and the cathode (C), and a power supply unit (40) which passes electric current between the anode (A) and the cathode (C) in such a manner that an electric current density on the surface of the anode (A) and that of the cathode (C) is 20A/dm2 or more, wherein the seawater electrolysis device electrolyzes seawater in the electrolysis vessel main body (20).
