[54] ABSORBENT ARTICLE
[57] Abstract: To provide a novel absorbent article that is capable of regular twisting deformation, the present invention provides a sanitary napkin 1 comprising a liquid-permeable top sheet 2, a liquid-impermeable back sheet 3, and an absorbent body 4 provided between the top sheet 2 and the back sheet 3, wherein: the top sheet 2 comprises high-rigidity regions 22 and low-rigidity regions 21, which are formed in a liquid-receiving region 20 that receives a liquid supplied to the top sheet 2; the high-rigidity regions 22 have roughly linear first regions that are laid out in a direction crossing a lengthwise direction of the sanitary napkin 1 and are aligned in an approximately parallel manner; and the low-rigidity regions 21 have liquid permeation holes that are formed so that the rigidity of the low-rigidity regions 21 is lower than the rigidity of the high-rigidity regions 22.
